SoWal Community Chaplain – Vision and Mission

Note: SoWal Community Chaplain, Inc was officially dissolved 12/31/2019, but the work continues through Caring and Sharing of South Walton’s new Director of Outreach (formerly the SoWal Community Chaplain).  Please be patient with us as we migrate the resources and information on this website to the Caring and Sharing of South Walton website:

Our vision is for everyone who lives, works, or vacations in South Walton to have easy access to pastoral care and community resources in a time of need.

The chaplain, in partnership with Caring and Sharing of South Walton, provides pastoral care to individuals in a time of crisis and transition who don’t have a church home and fields requests for information about community and faith-based resources from individuals, businesses, churches, and nonprofits.  The Chaplain also works with these organizations and other community groups to share information, resources, and ideas for community improvement in South Walton County, often serving as a liaison and representative to the faith-based community in South Walton.

SoWal Community Chaplain, Inc. is a 501c3 Not for Profit organization in compliance with the registration requirements of Chapter 496, Florida Statutes, the Solicitation of Contributions Act, though June 11, 2019.
